Text by Andréanne Morin
I’ve been asked before why I post my thoughts on the internet. I don’t have a precise answer, or one different from others. What’s so special about my writing? Did I listen to Isabelle enough in my French classes to be able to write something decent? How special does it really need to be to be published on the web? It’s free.
Hi, I’m Andréanne, I’m almost 33, and I dare (sometimes) to call myself an artist. 98% of the time, my head is full of questions. I’ve always written private blogs, half-filled notebooks never shared, except once in high school. For about a year now, I’ve been comfortable publishing my stuff online, and I’m really happy to have the opportunity to be published on the Gold Heart Club blog. If you want a preview of what I’ll be sharing here, you can check out my Substack. My name is Andréanne, and I’m doing my best.
My feet never touch the ground.
My body is aging, my notebooks are filling up, and my ideas never leave my home. I told myself I would kick my own butt to share my thoughts. Even if my sister hasn't given me a deadline yet. (Alexe full blast on the first blog. Sorry, sis.) After my 2024/2025 resolution about letting go, it’s time to move on to the next step and jump into the void, even if projects are only 75% complete. And is it really that bad if it’s not to my liking?
What’s your relationship with perfectionism? What is perfection?
Where does this pressure come from, this pressure we put on ourselves to be perfect every second of our existence? I find it hard to remember if I was as intense before social media. I think I’ve always been plugged into 220v. My relationship with perfectionism is so intense that it will be a story for next time.
Welcome to my mind, at least what I choose to tell you.

Ça me parle vraiment, merci d’avoir partagé ton texte aujourd’hui ça tombe à point pour moi. Je suis curieuse de lire la suite sur le perfectionnisme 👌
